my belly button ....

IS it normal to be 8 months prego and not have your belly button sticking out?? Because mine is still an inny and it HURTS! its getting all stretched out around the navel and yet won't pop. Plus, I had my belly button pierced a few years ago and the scar is getting all purple and sore.... I really hope it doesn't cause a ginormous stretch mark! well, we go to the doctor on Friday and we're making a birth plan!! .. finally! I hope that my Doctor thinks that he will come a week or two early, i can't wait any more, i'm too excited to meet my little man:-)
... Oh for you experiencd mothers out there, is it worth it to have a diaper wipe warmer? because i am debating getting one. I just don't know how effective they are!

Sooo, Since the baby shower we have been busy washing and organizing little clothes, setting up baby furniture, and decorating Hudson's little nursery. I really wanted those hanging wall letters in his name, so I decided to get a little creative, went to hobbie lobbie, and got some little blank letters and some scrapbooking supplies and made some myself! It was so much fun, and I think they turned out kinda cute:-) Its been fun making things for him, instead of just buying everything new, like refinishing my original baby dressor and making recieving blankets. My mother-in-law Nancy helped me learn how to crochet some darling edges on his recieving blankets, and she made some herself for him too! So Here are a few pics from our little baby projects!

Baby Shower!...

So Today was the Baby shower. I am pretty much wiped out from the long day, but it was tons of fun and WAY worth it, because I got sooo many awesome gifts for my baby Hudson. I really feel more prepared after getting so much today. The shower was at my Great Gramma LaRae's house, and Aunt Kala threw the whole thing pretty much, So sweet of her to put so much time and thoughtfulness into my Baby's little party:-) The decorations were so darling, and the cake was my favorite...chocolate with bavarian cream filling, YUMM...I'll have to post pics as soon as I get my mom to email me some:). Nana and Aunt Michelle came into town last night also, and it was such a treat having them here today to celebrate with me, and to meet all of my friends and more of Derek's family.
Basically I got everything I need including the big stuff, so I can't wait til I get it all organized in Hudson's nursery...hopefully it all fits, theres a LOT! THanks everyone for coming to celebrate, and for every one of Hudson's darling gifts... I LOVE and needed it all:-) !

Getting BIG!...

So I haven't written for almost 3 weeks, just been a little lazy and not much is new since last! Derek has had my lap top at the office for the past 10 days any way, and I couldn't figure out internet on our home pc, haha:)... So I finally had Derek hook-up the internet, and here we are.! .. So basically Im bigger than I thought was possible for my body, and its getting harder and harder to breathe, eat, sleep, walk. get up, etc.... the list could go on, but I won't complain to hard considering I haven't thrown up a day since I was pregnant, and for the most part was fortunate to skip most of the horrible side effects of pregnancy:). Im also just getting so anxious to have my little Hudson here and to be able to hold him and see him FINALLY! 7 months flew by so quickly, but now that were on the 8-week countdown it seems as though time has signifacantly slowed... On a brighter side, I have my baby shower this weekend on Saturday. I can't wait not only because my Nana and Aunt Michelle from St. George are coming into town, but also because I am super anxious to have Hudson's nursery set up completey, and im sure ill get most the other accessories for his room that I am in need of from my shower...hopefully! I'm sure I'll feel a LOT less stressed about having him, as soon as I can go in his lil room and be able to see that everything is as ready as it can be. Derek has been helping so much with everything too, from cleaning the house, to paintint Hudson's nursery and dressor, also setting up the crib and changing table with Grandpa Stokes, (my daddy) :). Im just a lucky girl for having so many sweet boys to help me out! ... I'm glad my little boy will have so many good examples to follow after too!...Hope he gets here QUICK :-)~
