Christmas family photo's ...

We had my mom take some updated family pics the other day so that I could finally get my Christmas cards made up. I am having a hard time deciding which one to use though. The cards I have only have one space for a picture, so the one has to be a good one! ....

I really like this one, but not sure if Hudsie's lil face is showing enough?

This one may be the card winner.... <3

Love them all, great job Mommy!!

Happy "OWL"oween

We had the BEST Halloween this year. Hudson's first time trick or treating, and we took him to an awesome, and VERY festive neighborhood that is decorated to the hilt and loaded with a million other fun trick or treators. We had a lil Halloween get together over at Mom's before, and I made some delish vegetarian chili and some owl cupcakes :), we had spicy pumpkin hummus, my favorite shrimp pasta salad, and lots of other treats. At about 7:00, we decided that Hudson needed to go trick or treating NOW if we were going to do it at all, because he was getting semi ready for bed since he goes down at 8 most nights. Mom, dressed in her Rastafarian get up, painted black with dreads and a Rasta hat (LOL) came down town to Harrison Blvd. with us. Hudson had his stroller, but he preferred to walk to most houses and get his little pumpkin bucket filled with candy.

We loved every minute of it, and once I get my other pictures downloaded I will definately post them!

Beautiful Fall weather :)

Rare October weather! ...so today we went over to my friend Nikki's house, she has a really pretty backyard and Hudson and I spent some time outside while we were there and soaked up this gorgeous fall weather. Hudsie absolutely loves being outside. The true boy toddler side is coming out in him, and he ALWAYS wants to be out now. So luckily we are getting the most out of this rare fall weather :) Here's our fun day ........

My sissy Nat came over and gave Nikki a sexy new hair cut too! I kind of want one now, ha!!

Proud mommy

Today was our boy's first day going to nursery at church. Since he really does not enjoy going to the daycare at our gym, I figured it would be the same in the church nursery. Nope! Derek and I stayed in with him for maybe the first ten minutes, they were making fruit loop necklaces, and Hudson sat in his little seat and ate his little fruitloops, and instead of being nervous around new kids, he was smiling at them and having fun. The Nursery leaders told us that we could leave him there and see how he did for his first time. They assured us that if he cried at all, they would come get us. So, we snuck out the door when he was distracted with a book..... I kept waiting and waiting through Gospel Doctrine and Relief society for them to come get me with a crying Hudson, but he made it the whole time, SO happy! Sister Gooch came up to me after church just to tell me how good he was, and what a delight he was during the whole nursery time. I was so proud and happy that my baby boy was so great and brave. It was also so nice to be able to listen to a lesson for the first time in 18 months. haha... So he actually will be 18 months this Friday. Crazy how fast a year and a half has flown by. We could not be more proud to be his parents, and can't wait to continue watching him grow up to be such a good sweet boy. ♥

Is it really Fall already?!

Wow time FLIES!! Life has been a whirl wind since our family left for Texas this summer, then to Arkansas... now home! Actually, we have been home for quite some time, Hudson and I flew home September first and Derek drove home. He had to drive back to Sacramento for a week afterwards to "finish" his season w/ Pinnacle. After that, he came home, and we plan on staying home for GOOD!:)

It has been so lovely being home finally, being able to enjoy this beautiful Idaho Fall weather and have friends and family around again. I have been keeping busy with school work, getting settled back in, possibly getting a job as an Esthetician at Renu Medispa, and maybe even opening a boutique downtown Boise with my friend Rachel. (Thats a whole other story)... So yes. Derek is merging with a company called Silverline based out of Salt Lake city, and they are opening up an office here, so he's been busy with that of course.

Basically life is great, Hudson will be eighteen months this month!! :( Bittersweet still, he's growing so much but still stays as sweet and cuddly as ever. Even though he is now very mobile and curious about everything, he is still very obedient and doesn't usually pull things out of drawers or cabinets. His one favorite "no no" to do however, is get in the cat bowl. It's kind of funny actually. He'll get over to Yin's food, look at me and say " nah nah nah," and then proceed to splash around in her water bowl. LOL, It's hard not to laugh but I'm trying to teach him not to do it. His favorite movie since we got back home was Megamind for the longest time, until I could not watch it one more time. Then, last week we finally bought Rio which I had been wanting to see anyway. Now that is definately his favorite, and I don't mind watching it every day at all!

Any way, yesterday Mom and I wanted to take Hudson to the Berry Ranch again and make it a yearly tradition for him to get his photo shoot taken in the pumpkin patch. Here is what we came up with :).......

One last pool day!

Things have taken a recent spin... I think in a positive way ;) We finally took the initiative to just buy me a plane ticket home to Boise! So in 3 days, on Saturday Hudson and I will jetset to Boise!!! yayyy. I'm very excited, yet anxious to have everything here packed up and ready for Derek to move it home. Which will be about a 3 day trip across the country. Poor babe, but he INSISTED that I fly back with Hudson, rather than make the grueling drive with him. All I can say is I am so grateful for a husband who is a true gentleman and would do anything for my comfort and happiness ♥ .

Any way, today we decided to enjoy our last day before its crunch time to pack and prepare to leave. We went to our beautiful pool, swam, played, and then went back to our house and had hamburgers. Fun! Great day.

Dinner Cruise

Little Rock Arkansas has a beautiful River running through it, big bridges, a pretty city, and lots and lots of GREEN! I guess everything just grows really well here because its so warm and humid all the time. So any way, Derek and I decided to go on a scenic river boat tour. It also served a 3 course dinner and desert, with live entertainment and a two hour tour up-river. It was so nice to have a fun date planned for just the two of us. Luckily we have an awesome babysitter out here, Uncle Dane! :)... Hudson loves him, and Dane is great with kids. So Derek and I had a romantic little night on the River. The food was so delicious, and the night was perfect!

Here are some pics, although they don't do the sights justice because I'm not the best photographer. Especially when its so humid outside that you walk out and the camera lens is automatically foggy! ... but you can get an idea :)
