Getting Sealed and Valentines weekend!
What a wonderful Valentines weekend! The best Valentines I've EVER had by far, because I have the most amazing valentine in the world, and the most important reason is because we were able to be sealed together for time and all eternity yesterday, (Saturday). I am so grateful and happy for my sweet husband that he has the same goals and desires for his life as I do, and that he is worthy to go to the temple with me. I have personally never had such a special and meaningful day as I did yesterday, Everything went so smoothly and I had so much love and support around me, including friends, family and ward memebers, which made the whole experience even more perfect.
Derek and I can't wait to get back to the overwhelmingly peaceful feeling that is present at the Temple, and are so excited that we are finally sealed forever! ... After our awesome day at the temple my sweetie went to pastry perfection to pick up our one-year anniversary cake, and also suprised me with two more gorgeous flower arrangements, a huge box of my favorite chocolates and also a darling snuggly valentines bear !:-) ... what a perfect weekend to celebrate Valentines day! I love you forever. xoxo
Also thank you to my sweet parents for the beautiful Boise temple picture with our names and sealing date engraved.... so special!! I couldn't have asked for a more a amazing family!

My baby :-)
So.... I guess I just have the sweetest hubby in the world! Today he came home for lunch, and in he walks with a huge bouquette of pink roses..(my favorite), and a brand new "my touch" google phone! I was so surprised because he had already gotten me flowers this week, and spoiled me all weekend long for my B day:-) ... now I need to do something to spoil him!! ... Sometimes I wish he was a girl so I could just go to the mall and get him some lotion or makeup... cuz its harder to find things for boys... I think! haha :-)

decision ...
So i've been contemplating this decision for a few months now... But can't make up my mind! I really want to do something different with my hair color, but not go back to blond! So I was thinking red. I love Kate Walshe's color so I was trying to see if I could pull off the same shade! ... what do you think? :
Or something more like this : ... I love these colors, but would they look good on me!? So indecisive ...

My Birthday, January 2010 :-) !
So I felt like a pretty spoiled girl this year for my Birthday. My sweety started my Birthday weekend on Friday the 29th with a day at the spa. I had a facial, hour-long prenatal massage, and a spa mani and pedi. It was quite a luxurious day, and then that evening I had a "friends" Birthday celebration at the melting pot... and for those of you who don't know, its an amazing fondue restaurant downtown Boise. Cynthia, Eric, and Chelsea joined Derek and I that night. Such a fun one!
My bebe and I at the melting pot
The next day, on my actual Birthday, Derek and I woke up and spent a day out shopping at the mall. Derek was such a sweety all day pretending like he actually enjoyed being at the mall with me!:-). .. Later we met Derek's parents, my parents, my great Grandma LaRae, and aunt Kala at Bella Aquila for some exquisite Italian Birthday dining. As if everyone wasn't stuffed from the restaurant, we then went back to my house for some german chocolate cake ala Nancy, and presents! What a sweet Birthday thanks to everyone that loves me! Im blessed to have such amazing friends and family who really make me feel special and loved <3... THANK YOU
My mommy is an amazing photographer !
Last Sunday we decided to finally do some maternity couples pictures, while my tummy is still nice and big. Luckily for Derek and I we didn't have to pay some over-priced pregnancy photographer to do the shoot, because my mommy is one! So we went downtown Eagle and got some really fun and memorable pregnancy shots. Here are a few from the masterpiece ...
Baby News...
So, we decided that we wanted to start trying to get pregnant around June 2009. Its funny because when Derek and I first married, I told him that we were going to wait atleast 2 to 3 years before we started trying... but obviously I was ready about 6 months later! haha. So June and July past, and nothing happens yet... The 3rd of April, we then went to Idaho for Derek's families annual ski trip and camp out. It was funny because I noticed that I was exceptionally tired and lethargic, and my boobs were SORE!ha. Any way, we ended up getting rained out after the first day of being up at the Lake, and went home then next day after a long, rain-filled first night in the tent. . Since I wasn't feeling myself anyway, I was happy to get back to a nice warm bed and civilization. So as the rest of the week past Derek and I kept noticing little signs and symptoms of early pregnancy, but didn't want to get our hopes up too much because we had been psyching ourselves out enough the past two months!
To make a long and painful story short.. we ended up getting "evicted" from our place in Pittsburgh, making a quick decision to quit Pinnacle Security, and making the 3 day drive back to Boise...home :-) It was about a week later when Derek and I decided that it had been too long for me to be feeling this way, (fatigue and achy breasts), and not taking a pregnancy test. We went and picked a test up at our local Fred Meyers, and anxiously rushed back to my parents house so we could see the result!!.. I was a little confused by the ever so faint pink line next to the solid pink line... so asked Derek to come upstairs and check it for me:-) haha... I saw the expression on his face when he examined the little test, and I knew he was certain that we were going to be parents approximately 9 months later!!!!<3 what a special evening, it was a sunday night, which meant that we had family dinner at Grandma Larae's as usual, so we announced it then... Derek's parents were next to find out, even though we had to wake them up when we got to their house... but we were much to excited to keep the much anticipated news to ourselves til morning!
That was back in August... today is February first, we have 3 months to go before we get to meet our precious little guy. yep!, its a BOY!. His name will be Hudson LeRoy Harris, and the pregnancy has been such an amazing one! I have been blessed enough not to be nautious or sick, and have been able to be pretty active for the most part. Our baby looks healthy and beautiful in all his ultrasounds, so we just pray that all will continue to go well for the next three months until he arrives !
